How to get there

1. Choose the Text tool . The Text menu appears.
2. Select Text > Superscript.

What it does

The Superscript dialog box allows you to adjust the vertical position of the text, adjusting the spacing between lines by the same amount.

• Amount. Enter the amount that Finale should shift the selected text characters vertically above or below the baseline. A positive value raises the text (making it superscript), and a negative value lowers the text (making it subscript). The units are whatever you've selected under Edit > Measurement Units.
• OK • Cancel. Click OK to confirm your settings and return to the score. Click Cancel to return to the score.
