Configuring pagesizes.txt

Noteman says: When you install a new version of Finale on your computer, pagesizes.txt is not copied from the previous version. To migrate this file, see To migrate settings and support files from one version of Finale to another.

The Setup Wizard, the Page Layout tool and other areas of Finale use the pagesizes.txt file to determine the page size and margins of the score. You can edit this file to get a custom page size and margin. Make sure you save the file as text only.

[Page Sizes]

This section contains the page size name, Width and Height (followed by a semicolon), Top Margin, Bottom Margin, Left Margin, Right Margin, and a Left Margin for single-instrument documents. The Top and Bottom margins are assumed to be negative; there is no need to put in the minus sign.

Ex. Letter = 8.5, 11; .5, .5, 1, .5, .75
