View palette

How to get there

Choose Window > View Palette.

What it does

The View palette contains buttons that duplicate certain commands on the View menu and Document menu.

  • Page View. Click this button to display the document as sheets of paper. See Page View.
  • Scroll View. Click this button to display the document as a continuous horizontal "scroll" of music. See Scroll View.
  • Display in Concert Pitch. Choose this button to toggle between displaying your score in concert pitch or by staff transpositions. This is equivalent to choosing Document > Display in Concert Pitch.
  • Show Active Layer Only. Choose this button to toggle between displaying the active layer only (as selected with the layer selection buttons in the bottom left) or displaying all layers. This is equivalent to choosing Document > Show Active Layer Only.
  • 50%. Choose this button to zoom the view to 50%.
  • 75%. Choose this button to zoom the view to 75%.
  • 100%. Choose this button to zoom the view to 100%
  • 200%. Choose this button to zoom the view to 200%.
  • 400%. Choose this button to zoom the view to 400%.
  • Zoom to Other Size. Choose this button to zoom to a custom percentage. This is equivalent to choosing View > Zoom > Other.
  • Last Size. Choose this button to zoom to the most recent zoom percentage. This is equivalent to choosing View > Zoom > Last Size.
  • Fit in Window. Choose this button to display the entire page in the document window. This is equivalent to choosing View > Zoom > Fit in Window.
  • Fit Width. Choose this button to zoom the view so that the page stretches the entire width of the document window. This is equivalent to choosing View > Zoom > Fit Width.
