To clear staff styles from a measure region

1. Click the Staff tool  . The Staff menu appears.
2. Make sure Staff > Show Staff Styles is checked. All Staff Styles are indicated by horizontal bars above the music.
3. Select the region you want to affect. See Selecting Music.
4. Chosoe Staff > Clear Staff Styles From (and then the desired score/part option). You can also select these options from the contextual menu by right-clicking in the staff. The staff styles will be removed from the selected region. Or, press BACKSPACE to clear the staff style for both the score and corresponding part(s). Press CTRL+SHIFT to clear the staff style on only the score/part you are viewing.
