- Choose View > Grid/Guide > Grid/Guide Options.
The Grid/Guide Options dialog box appears.
- Enter the size of the gravity zone around the
guide in the Gravity Zone Size text box. You can select the specific
units. The gravity zone is the space around the guide that will “capture”
any item dragged into it and snap it to the guide.
- Select the style of the grid lines from the
Guide Line Style drop-down
list.
- Click Guides Color to set up the color of the
grid.
- Click on Items to Snap to Guide to select which
items are affected by the Snap to Guide function. See Items To Snap To Grid and Items To Snap To Guide
dialog boxes for more details.
- Click Show Guide and Snap to Guide.
This will ensure that the guides are displayed and in effect.
- Click OK.
- Select View > Page View. Choose View > Show Rulers.
- Double-click in the ruler to create a guide.
Click on the guide in the ruler and drag to move the guide. Click on the
guide in the ruler and press DELETE to delete guide. CTRL+click to select multiple guides.
