To erase chords from a region

  1. Click the Selection tool  image\Selection_Tool.gif and select a region. See Selecting music for some region-selecting shortcuts.
  2. Choose Edit > Clear Selected Items. The Clear Selected Items dialog box appears.
  3. Click the None button to uncheck all, then check Chords and Fretboards.
  4. Click OK (or press ENTER) . Finale erases the chord symbols.
