Expression tool
With this tool, you can create expression markings. For example, you might want a "mute" for the Viola part.
Expressions can actually affect the tempo. You can, for example, program a "Vivace" marking to affect the score's playback tempo wherever it occurs.
Special
mouse clicks
- Double- click above, below, or on any measure to display the Expression Selection dialog box.
- Click or shift-click Expression handles to select one, additional, or several Expressions, respectively.
- Drag a selected handle to move all selected Expressions; press delete to remove the selected marking.
- Double-click a handle to display the Text Expression Designer dialog box (where you can edit the spelling, tempo, and font of a Text Expression).
- Click and drag over multiple staves to display the Expression Selection dialog box where you can choose an expression to add to those staves.
