Alternate Notation
Alternate notation styles are named sets
of staff attributes that can be applied to a region.
- Click
the Staff tool
. The Staff
Menu appears.
- Select
the region you want to affect. See Selecting
music for hints on selecting shortcuts.
- Choose
Apply Alternate Notation from the Staff Menu. You can also select
Apply Alternate Notation from the contextual menu by CONTROL-clicking in the staff. The Apply
Alternate Notation dialog box appears.
- Select
the alternate notation you wish to apply from the popup.
- Click
OK. The chosen notation will be applied to the selected region.
- Click
the Staff tool . The Staff
Menu appears.
- Select
the region you want to affect. See Selecting
music for hints on selecting shortcuts.
- Choose
Clear Alternate Notation from the Staff Menu. You can also select
Clear Alternate Notation from the contextual menu by CONTROL-clicking in the staff. The alternate
notation will be removed from the selected region.
