Save As dialog box
How to get there
Choose File > Save As.
What it does
In this dialog box you can specify what kind of file you want to create and in which folder PrintMusic should save it.
- Save As. In this text box, enter a title for the new file. If there’s already a file with the same title in this folder, PrintMusic will ask you if you want to replace it with the new file.
- Format: Finale Notation File • Finale Template File. Click this popup menu to select the format of the file you are saving. The default setting, Finale Notation File, is PrintMusic’s native format. Select Finale Notation File if you want to create a standard notation document. Select Finale Template File if you want to create a template from which you can create other PrintMusic documents with the same settings.
- Where. PrintMusic displays the name of the folder you’re viewing. Click on the folder name to change which folder to save the file in.
- [Expand arrow]. Click the arrow to the right of the “Where” popup menu to display the folder list and the following options.
- Append File Extensions. Check this box to include file extensions onto the end of saved file names(i.e. .MUSX).
- New Folder. Click the New button to create a new folder inside the current folder, disk or hard drive.
- Save. Click Save (or press RETURN) to create a new file of the title and type you’ve specified in this dialog box.
- Cancel. Click Cancel to return to the score without creating a new file.
