Change Note Size dialog box

How to get there

  1. Choose the Selection tool icon and select a region of music.
  2. Choose Utilities > Change > Note Size.

What it does

Noteman says: Changing the note size also changes the lyric size. If there are lyrics that need to be added, see Lyrics to avoid lyric resizing. If lyrics have already been added and resized, highlight the lyrics from within the Lyric window and choose Text > Size > Fixed Size.

Use the Change Note Size dialog box to change the sizes of all notes in a selected region. This dialog box is especially useful for creating cue notes.

  • Resize Notes to ___ %. In this text box, enter the percentage by which you want to scale all notes in the selected region. For example, enter 50% to make all notes half their sizes (while remaining on a full-size staff).
  • Cancel • OK. Click OK (or press RETURN) to confirm, or Cancel to discard, the changes you’ve made and return to the score.
