If a forward repeat bar does not appear earlier in the score, PrintMusic automatically jumps to the first measure upon reaching this repeat barline during playback.
Use these steps to create a simple repeat with both a forward and backward repeat bar.
Tip: If you have already placed a backward repeat bar, you can right-click the first measure of a repeated section and choose Create Forward Repeat Bar instead of using the above instructions.
When you create a repeat barline, it’s ordinarily drawn as a solid line across the space between any grouped staves (those connected by a bracket, for example). If you prefer, you can instruct PrintMusic not to draw the barline continuously through the space between staves.
If your score includes a piano part (for example), you normally won’t want ending brackets (such as a first ending bracket) to appear above both the treble and bass staves. Similarly, you would probably want a Text Repeat (such as “To Coda”) only to appear above the treble staff, not above both. To show endings and text repeats on the top staff only, choose Repeat > Display Endings and Text Repeats on Top Staff.
